All our entertainment programmes, menus, outings are selected by our residents, we do not presume to make choices on their behalf without consultation.

At Old Raven House there is always something to do. We have an extensive activities programme both in house and outings, plus visiting entertainers to keep you busy.

The library visits every three weeks, and we have well stocked book shelves for your enjoyment. Regular activities include, Bingo, sing-alongs, exercise classes, film shows, Giant crossword, reminiscence and knitting circle.

Religious services are held on a regular basis.

We offer every service possible, including a hair salon where you can have your hair done any day of the week. Visiting chiropodist, beauty therapist, plus room service if youare not feeling up to going to the restaurant.

We have regular theatre trips and days out and are of course looking foward to many more outdoor events now the weather is getting warmer. One of the favourite events in summer is a boat trip on the canal, where we take a picnic.

Then of course we have regular barbeques, even our chef loves the outdoor life. We have a large family barbeque where we have usually over 100 guests, residents and families. This is where everyone loves to dance to a jazz band who play all the residents favourite tunes, with a really great singer. Sometimes we are lucky and one of our residents who is musical will get up and give us a song.

This is at the end of the day the residents home and that is why it is important that our activities include family whenever possible.
